What is CraftWorks?

CraftWorks is a showcase and connection platform for Costa Rican artisans. We help local artists display their handmade products and connect directly with interested buyers. Think of us as a gallery — not a store.

Does CraftWorks handle payments?

No. CraftWorks does not process, collect, or handle any payments. All financial transactions are arranged directly between the buyer and the artisan through methods they agree on privately.

Does CraftWorks handle shipping?

No. Shipping and delivery are the responsibility of the artisan and buyer to coordinate directly. CraftWorks only provides the connection — logistics are between you and the artist.

What is CraftWorks responsible for?

We maintain the platform, verify that sellers are real Costa Rican artisans, moderate profiles and listings, and remove any non-artisan or fraudulent content. We ensure the marketplace stays authentic and trustworthy.

How do I contact an artisan?

Use the "Message Seller" button on any product page to start a private conversation. Your identity stays protected — sellers see you as "Buyer #1" until you choose to share more. All phone numbers and emails are automatically redacted for your safety.

Is CraftWorks free to use?

Browsing and discovering products is always free. For sellers, we offer tiers (Free, Plus, Premium) with different visibility and listing limits. The Free tier lets artisans get started at no cost.

How do I report a problem?

You can use the report button on any product or artist profile, or reach out via our Contact page. We investigate all reports and take action to keep the platform safe.
